United Assisted Living is proud to announce that Heatherwood Village has reopened for residents. Originally built as a continuing care community, Heatherwood has a vision for its senior residents. They can start in either the independent living or progress to the assisted living building as their needs arise.
With the opening of this facility, there comes an interesting history. It has been an assisted living, followed by a hospice when it was occupied by Sangre De Cristo Hospice for several years. The building has been empty for the past several years. And now the building is back to life and ready to serve those who need a place to call home. The building has been beautifully remodeled and is now a shining star within the Pueblo community.
Heatherwood Village provides a licensed nurse available 24/7, medication management, incontinence care, diabetic care, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care and Parkinson’s Care. It also offers an In-House Beauty Salon, extensive activities schedule and entertainment, delicious home-cooked meals, free transportation and housekeeping and laundry services.
Heatherwood Village Assisted Living is a 39 bed community with private and shared apartments all with private bathrooms. Our community offers ample common areas and a large back yard for relaxing or gardening. It is equipped to care for complex residents and provides:
- Incontinence care
- Diabetic Care
- Parkinson’s Care
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care
